How do I start training at MAMA?
The easiest way is to visit our “Get Started” page and follow the steps. You can always give us a call and we’ll be glad to help you 402-504-4427.
How much does it cost to train at MAMA?
That is something we like to discuss in person. Give us a call or fill out one of our secure forms on this site and we’ll call you.
Do I need to be in shape to train at MAMA?
Absolutely not! Fitness is part of our fabric. We have certified strength and conditioning coaches and trainers on our staff who will help you with your fitness goals along the way!
Is it just fighters there?
Nope, not at all. In fact, the vast majority of our students are martial arts enthusiasts, hobbyists, and practitioners. That’s not to say we don’t have competitive athletes that train here. But everyone trains together at MAMA. Nobody will ever alienate you for being new to the martial arts or not a “fighter”!
Can I try a class?
Not at this time, sorry. You are welcome to watch but we like to get to know our students during our Student On-Boarding Program prior to allowing them to join our classes. This truly benefits all involved: you, your instructors, and fellow students.
Do you have shower facilities?
Yes we do! We have showers in our men’s locker room and a separate shower for women.
Which classes am I allowed to take?
With the exception of a handful that require additional testing, once you complete our Student On-Boarding Program all the classes on our schedule are yours for the choosing, memberships at MAMA are all inclusive!!
Do you have an actual curriculum?
Absolutely. Each one of our individual programs follows a curriculum. It is further broken down and taught via weekly themes.
What sets MAMA apart from the other gyms or schools?
One word: COMMUNITY! We’ve worked incredibly hard to create the culture we have here at MAMA. It’s not for everyone and that’s OK. What we have is a tight-knit group of good people doing great things together through the expression of martial arts. We challenge one another, support each another, and celebrate successes together.
